Cassandra Fifer Covey

President

Cassandra strives to provide educational opportunities that enhance human potential in rural communities. Six years ago, when she first started looking at elementary options for her daughter, she was extremely surprised and a bit disheartened at the huge disparity between what was offered in major city public schools versus rural public schools. Cassandra felt that we were doing the future of our species a disservice by not cultivating the minds of all our students with the most current technologies in education.

Cassandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. She graduated with honors, holding memberships in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and in the Golden Key International Honor Society. Cassandra has a background in natural resource management and environmental regulations from working as an Environmental Investigator with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Sustainability has always been Cassandra’s passion and goal. It was through her professional experience she saw firsthand the negative impacts that not providing educational advancements to all of our students can have on our shared environment. It was not a lack of regulation that slowed our species progress, but a lack of understanding. Knowledge is one of our specie's most valuable natural resources and should always be cultivated with the most current technologies.

Cassandra has spent the past few years researching education and how people learn. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Educational Psychology from Purdue University Global. She is a member of the Alpha Beta Kappa honor society. Cassandra continues to enhance her own knowledge base by attending the 2021 Arts Integration and STEAM Conference and by pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis to obtain the designation of a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, so that she may enhance not only the educational achievements, but also the emotional well-being of the students in her community.
